door2solution software gmbh becomes part of DOCUFY

Bamberg, January 10th, 2023 - When companies from the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology, and the software industry are looking for a professional software solution for technical documentation, design, and service, they will find it at Bamberg-based DOCUFY GmbH. Their product suite already includes a component content management system, software for the legally compliant creation of risk assessments for CE marking, tools for improving CAx data quality or analyzing CAD data, cloud-based software for optimized maintenance processes, and a company-wide search engine for information, content, and know-how. With the acquisition of the Austrian company door2solution software gmbh on January 9, 2023, DOCUFY now expands its Suite with a professional solution for electronic spare parts management.

door2solution software gmbh has been an established provider of standardised and customisable software solutions for the industrial sector for many years - especially in mechanical, plant and vehicle engineering. The focus is on electronic spare parts catalogues and customer portals as well as associated online shops for technical E-Commerce. The software solutions allow the clear and structured mapping of spare and wear parts, machine-related accessories and merchandise articles for various target groups.

Joint exhibition stand at the tekom Annual Conference 2022

DOCUFY and door2solution have already shared a booth at this year's tekom annual conference of the trade and professional association for technical communication. The shared booth will now become much more than just a mere neighbourhood. Nadine Prill, managing director of DOCUFY GmbH, says: "DOCUFY's goal is to enhance the information management of companies in the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology or even the software sector. We have noticed that, in addition to the solutions we already offer in our Software Suite, the management of spare parts is also increasingly in demand. The expansion of our product portfolio to include a corresponding professional solution for the topic of spare parts is therefore an important and correct strategic step for us on our way to becoming a complete solution provider for everything that revolves around technical documentation, construction and service. In door2solution we have found the perfect partner who shares our expertise in standardised and at the same time highly customisable software. We already know the team around Robert Siegel, the managing director and technical director of the Viennese company, well from various joint projects. We look forward to being able to offer our customers and interested parties successful digital solutions in construction and service in the future.

Robert Siegel, Managing Director of door2solution software gmbh, says: "The products and underlying technologies of both companies are an ideal match. Together we will develop further innovation potential in order to provide an optimised platform for After-Sales-Service based on standard products. I am pleased that we have become part of the DOCUFY team, especially because we also share common goals and visions".

First joint project with Rosendahl Nextrom GmbH successfully implemented

A first joint project has already been successfully implemented: Rosendahl Nextrom is a customer of both companies. The Austrian manufacturer of battery, cable, wire and fibre optic production systems uses the DOCUFY COSIMA component content management system and relies on door2solution software for spare parts management. Both solutions are linked via interfaces and are to grow even closer together in the future.

For Rosendahl Nextrom and many other companies, mutual product support could go even further: The interaction of the TopicPilot publication platform, the DOCUFY Maintenance Manager (DMM) and the spare parts management solution from door2solution optimises processes and perfects information management.

All-in-one package for After-Sales-Service

In order to demonstrate this benefit to companies, the project with Rosendahl Nextrom was presented as a showcase at the tekom trade fair by both exhibitors - with excellent feedback from customers. Nadine Prill explains: "Our objective is to step by step connect the products of both companies more closely and in this way provide customers with an all-in-one package for service information, starting with technical documentation and product knowledge and ending with digitalised spare parts management. Even though the ownership of door2solution will be transferred to DOCUFY, the solutions of the Austrian specialist will remain independent on the market.
