DOCUFY Strikes A Chord With New Multi-Level Documentation

Bamberg, April 19, 2016. – DOCUFY demonstrated to visitors how modern-day technical documentation works at one of the most important trade fairs in the technical communication industry, the tekom Spring Conference. Alongside the latest releases of its professional writing software COSIMA and the mobile publication platform TopicPilot, DOCUFY also unveiled its concept of multi-level documentation for the first time. The intelligent organization of information is taking on a pivotal role, especially in an era in which printed paper is making way for digital media and conventional documents are evolving into series of topics. DOCUFY software solutions give companies the opportunity to connect their company-relevant content at multiple levels in information spaces and therefore make it available across the entire company.

The large crowds gathered around the DOCUFY booth, which reflected the new corporate design to match the new company position and new website, showed the high level of interest in such solutions. Uwe Reißenweber, General Manager of DOCUFY GmbH, was delighted with the positive reception: “More and more companies are realizing what a treasure trove they have in the form of technical documentation. By upgrading their technical documentation to a new level of value creation, companies can finally start using their data throughout the business. This is data that is relevant to many areas of a company: for sales employees, assembly employees, customer service, and marketing and construction departments. Technical documentation represents a company’s knowledge pool. And thanks to our pioneering TopicPilot technology, this information is available online and offline, 24/7, anywhere in the world. We deliver software solutions for the provision of information at multiple levels – that is our multi-level documentation strategy.”

Presentation on Augmented Reality in Technical Documentation

Christoph Beckmann, Product Manager for TopicPilot at DOCUFY GmbH, gave an insight into the topic of mobile documentation and augmented reality with his presentation “Redakteur ohne CAD-Erfahrung sucht Augmented Reality” [Writer with no CAD experience seeks augmented reality]. In front of a large audience, Beckmann demonstrated how quickly and simply content for augmented reality apps in the COSIMA writing system can be linked to content from technical documentation. This link means that writers no longer have to be CAD experts, making it easier for companies to develop augmented reality apps.

Acrolinx Becomes New DOCUFY Partner

For DOCUFY General Manager Uwe Reißenweber and Ulrich Callmeier, COO and CTO of Acrolinx, tekom was the perfect opportunity to sign the two companies’ cooperation agreement.

The Acrolinx platform helps the largest brands in the world to create authentic content: brand-specific, effective, and scalable. With its advanced language technology, Acrolinx is the only software platform on the market that “reads” content and helps writers improve their output. Thanks to Acrolinx’s integration into the COSIMA writing system by DOCUFY, authors can now check directly in the text editor whether their content complies with defined company standards. This ensures that XML documents conform with corporate language standards right at the source.
