COSIMA consists of a server program, which performs all essential functions, and two alternative user surfaces. One can choose from either a Web interface which can be used without any client installation on all current computer systems, or a graphical user interface that requires an installation on a client computer. Both interfaces can also be used in parallel.
The delivery of COSIMA includes a full-feature sample application. This sample can be used immediately for module-based creation and publication of technical documentation.
COSIMA is backed by 15 years of experience and structured technical documentation. The colleagues responsible for the COSIMA system design at docufy put all their knowledge from previous documentation projects into this product. Their innovative solutions from a multitude of projects were based on SGML and now rely on the established XML-standards.
This know-how is now offered bundled together in a product. COSIMA offers standardized solutions for all basic requirements.
However, we know and understand that not all editorial processes can be solved by one standardized package. Because of this, we have enabled COSIMA to integrate customer specific functions into the editorial system through efficient interfaces (APIs).
COSIMA is an open system and can be expanded almost without limitations. Thus, it can also address specialised needs of the editorial process.
Although COSIMA is a relatively young product on the market, it consists of proven components used by DOCUFY for system integration since several years.
